Hampton Christian Church is part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) denomination.  We believe that Jesus is our savior and helps us to live daily as believers.  We also offer an invitation each Sunday for any believer to participate in the communion meal.

You can find out more about us and the Christian Chruch (Disciples of Christ) by checking out more of this site or going to Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) or Christian Church in Virginia.

We hope that as you find out more about the church, you will be encouraged to come and discover us in person.  The relationship that you will develop with Jesus will change your life and the people here at the Hampton Christian Church can help support and encourage you in that journey.

We are looking forward to seeing you soon.

125th Anniversary Celebration

Hampton Christian Church is celebrating it's 125th year of active ministry this year.  We are planing a wonderful celebration this coming fall and everyone is invited!  Please check out the link above and to the left, or click here to go to the page for more information and pictures.

 Beth Moore Study on David

Carole Smith will be leading the fall women’s study from Beth Moore on the life of David.  “A Heart Like His: Seeking the Heart of God through a Study of David”, is the name of the course and will focus on the life and faith of David, known as a man after God’s own heart.  This is a video led study that will meet twice each week beginning on September 9th.  Each Tuesday morning, the study will begin at 10:00 a.m. and then be repeated again on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m.  These will be identical sessions, so attending one a week is correct.  The study will last 1 ½ - 2 hours and will meet in the sanctuary to be able to use the projector and big screen.  There is a study guide available for $15 that will allow you to study during the week and dig deeper into the story of David.  This is a great time of growth and study and we are looking forward to seeing the ladies participate in one of the sessions.

 Pastor Darren's BLOG

We have an opportunity to open up a new way of communicating and dialogue via what is called a BLOG.  For those who are not familiar with blogs, blog is short for Web Log and they are a way in which interested parties can have an online discussion dealing with various topics.  As I post different things, you will have an opportunity to respond and share your thoughts with others too.  This type of community will allow people to be a part who are not in the area and can be participated in when there is time instead of a predetermined time and place.  The address for my blog is:  http://hamptonpastor.wordpress.com.  Stop by and check it out, leave a comment or thought, and share it with others.  I'm looking forard to hearing from you soon.  I hope that this will be an effective tool that will help us to grow in our faith and in the church.
