Up Coming Church Events
We have an opportunity to open up a new way of communicating and dialogue via what is called a BLOG. For those who are not familiar with blogs, blog is short for Web Log and they are a way in which interested parties can have an online discussion dealing with various topics. The process is that the ‘owner’ will post a thought, story, or comment and then others come and read and have the opportunity to respond to what they have written. This type of community is different from what we may usually think of as community but allows people to be a part who are not in the area and can be participated in when there is time instead of a predetermined time and place. . The address for my blog is: http://hamptonpastor.wordpress.com. Stop by and check it out, leave a comment or thought, and share it with others. I'm looking forard to hearing from you soon. I hope that this will be an effective tool that will help us to grow in our faith and in the church.

Beth Moore Study on David
Carole Smith will be leading the fall women’s study from Beth Moore on the life of David. “A Heart Like His: Seeking the Heart of God through a Study of David”, is the name of the course and will focus on the life and faith of David, known as a man after God’s own heart. This is a video led study that will meet twice each week beginning on September 9th. Each Tuesday morning, the study will begin at 10:00 a.m. and then be repeated again on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. These will be identical sessions, so attending one a week is correct. The study will last 1 ½ - 2 hours and will meet in the sanctuary to be able to use the projector and big screen. There is a study guide available for $15 that will allow you to study during the week and dig deeper into the story of David. This is a great time of growth and study and we are looking forward to seeing the ladies participate in one of the sessions.
